About
I am a personal trainer and martial artist with over a decade of experience. I have a black belt in Kenpo karate as well as years of practice in other arts (Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo, boxing, and kickboxing). I have had the joy of teaching both kids and adults martial arts.
I love seeing students improve their skills and confidence as well as strength/conditioning.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student I like to learn about their goals and then identify their strengths and weaknesses so that I can identify a starting point for their lessons and create a road map to reaching their goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over a decade of martial arts experience and I have cross-trained in many styles. I am also a certified personal trainer, sports performance specialist, and nutrition coach.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I typically charge $75 per hour but this may vary if I have to drive a long distance to get to my student.
How did you get started teaching?
I loved learning martial arts and I really enjoy sharing that passion with others.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with everyone from kids to adults, from office workers to amateur and pro fighters.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am proud of my recent belt test that promoted some of my students to a higher rank.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Everyone's learning and teaching styles are unique. I recommend taking a trial class from anyone you are interested in learning from to make sure they are a good fit before signing up for multiple sessions.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What do they wish to learn and why do they want to learn martial arts?
