I have taught 100s of students over the last 20 years. I feel that I relate to my students no matter what their age is. In other words, I remember what it's like to learn on guitar and if I can play, anyone can do it. I love meeting people and showing them how to develop their musical craft.

I am an Emmy winning songwriter from my work with PBS, with a BILLION hits on YouTube for my songs. I am an accomplished instrumentalist as well, having released some dozen albums, and I play guitar, mandolin, fiddle, and tenor banjo. Gypsy jazz is one area I specialize in, but I also play Folk, Americana, Rock, Blues, Country and other styles. I also have a PhD in Writing, and I am the author of a number of books--children's literature, books on neuroscience, fiction, cartoons, and more. I enjoy seeing people learn new skills and progress to become the songwriter or musician they want to be....
