About
A Level 3 CHA Certified Riding Instructor, Whitney has been teaching since 2014 and loves every moment of training horses and people! She works hard to help every horse and rider she meets. Whitney grew up riding since 2000. Since 2001, she trained under the vastly experienced hands of Anne Lloyd. Her first horse was an ex-school horse named Dakota that she trained to jump. They did a lot of fun shows, then she bought a young TB off the track and trained her to 3’6” while going to school and working. She then bought a warmblood thoroughbred cross and has trained him through 3'9, with hope's of taking him all the way to grand prix. Since April 2018, Whitney has started her own business as an instructor and is excited to build her teaching career. Please email if you are interested [email protected]
I enjoy riding and training horses in the jobs they want. I enjoy teaching students how to ride and getting them to the goal they want to achieve. The best part is watching how people progress with their horse, It is fun to see the relationship between horse and their person.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I pride myself in making great horse and rider matches. All riders go through the same evaluation lesson when starting. We will start by tacking up the horse so I can see if you know how to tack. If you dont, that's ok, we will go through that process until we get it. We will next head to the arena for some riding. I have a checklist that I go through to see what level you are at. After that we head back to the rail and untack and make sure all the untacking is understood. Once we are done with the evaluation lesson, we will then figure out if you are able to move to a group (people of like ages and abilities). We can also do privates.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am CHA level 3 certified. I am working to level 4.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons are $55/ student
How did you get started teaching?
I grew up riding and have always loved it. I love sharing my experiences and helping others learn how to ride and enjoy riding as much as I do.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all levels of students from first rides all up to 3'6 jumpers and level 2 dressage.
