I love helping people of all skill levels hit a better golf ball. No two people are alike and as a result there is never a dull moment.

I had an incoming freshman to high school show up hitting a 7 iron 170 yards. She had not had many lessons. She was with me for 4 years. She is now on the varsity golf team at Brigham Young University.

One year I had a 12 year old boy who was small and only hitting a driver 125 yards. He was shooting about 120. He came regularly for a few years and one day I showed up and he was hitting a driver off the grass 250 right down the middle. He became a scratch golfer by his junior year in high school and won the low stroke average for Denver for the entire season.

I enjoy helping beginners become golfers as much as anything. The PGA of America is into and enthused about helping develop golfers and I try to do the best I can in this regard and I LOVE IT!!

First of all, George is one of the nicest gentlemen you will ever meet. He is a very patient man that knows how to teach. I have taken lessons from George for the past 3 years. I have dropped my handicap from +25 to 15. I plan to play a lot of golf in the future. I greatly appreciate all George has done to help me learn the game and gain confidence in a sport I have been very frustrated with at times. His focus on the basics is a great method for teaching that does not overcomplicate the game.

George brings his experience of twenty two years plus as a professional golf instructor and a competitive collegiate golfing career, to simplify the golf swing in repeatable and understandable fundamentals and drills. He works with what you have and does not believe any one swing is for everybody. Taking lessons has been a truly enjoyable experience!!! And, my game has greatly improved!!

George was able to take the beginning golfer in me to a more confident player. He was easily able to notice defects in my swing and help me correct them.

George is a highly knowledgeable and experienced golf instructor. Ive taken lessons from several top level instructors. However, George is the best instructor of them all. Simply put, he knows the golf swing thoroughly and he knows how to help students understand fundamentals.
He has a fantastic indoor facility which works much better for learning the golf swing than being outside. George has all the equipment needed for measuring swing characteristics and ball flight. He has a video camera to record your swing and he annotates the videos to enhance learning. His facility has built-in mirrors which are very helpful for seeing correct positions. He also has several swing aids.
Maybe most important, George is friendly and fun to work with. He has many great golf stories to share collected over his many years of being immersed in the game of golf. I highly recommend you contact George for an introductory session. Youll be glad you did!

Prior to my lessons from George Miller, I was frustrated with my game, and I would go the practice range without knowing “how” or “what” to practice. Thanks to the drills and skills he taught me, I now know “what” and “how” to practice, and my swing and my game have improved tremendously. I’m loving golf these days! George is the best golf instructor I’ve ever had.

    Frequently asked questions

I have the student warm up by swinging easy or doing stretches. I then have them hit a few shots on the simulator while I am video taping their swing.  I like to have a record of what they are doing with their swing before we work on anything.

Then we chat about how much they have played, what their strengths and weaknesses are.  Knowing why they are taking lessons and what their goals are is very helpful.

I then take a few minutes to show them their swing and analize the strengths and weaknesses of the swing.  We then start on one or two of the issues that we found.

I am a college graduate having attended the University of Colorado, Boulder.  I played on the golf team for 4 years.

I am a PGA Class A member since 2007 and have passed all the associated classes to obtain that membership including the playing test.

I have attended at least a dozen classes on golf instruction conducted by the PGA of America since then.

I learned to teach golf from a fantastic teacher who was a former tour player and my mentor.

I start people out with 1/2 hour lessons.  One lesson is $60, a series of three is $170, a series of six is $340.  I am running a special at the moment for ten for $500.

I have simulators where practice and playing golf courses is also an option.

My junior rate is $50 for one, $140 for three and $280 for three.  The junior special is ten for $400.

I obtained a position as a sales person for a vacation golf school. Within 6 months I was promoted to national sales manager. The owner of the golf school became my mentor and taught me how to teach golf.  Teaching golf is way different that playing golf.  He told me that if I communicated well and could motivate people to change that I could become a good golf instructor.  I have always strived to achieve those objectives.
