About

Kicks is a female-owned business that works with students of all ages and learning styles. We are a well-rounded, non-traditional Tae Kwon Do studio with a passion for practical self-defense and personal leadership that shines within our students. We do compete on an internal, state, and international level, but competitions are not required participation for our students.

Master Wagner, the owner, bought the business at 19 years of age and has held ownership since 2016. She has trained in the sport herself since 2003.

Our staff are all trained in-house, and the owner and master instructor are both of master (4th degree) rank.

I absolutely LOVE working with children. I find a true passion knowing that I can pass on the knowledge that made me as successful as I am today. My students will know not only how to protect themselves, but how to succeed in this world long after they have left my studio.

I joined this school years ago, after a 30-year pause in martial arts (did Tae Kwon Do in high school), after my son joined. One of my daughters and one of my nephews joined too, and for years we trained together, it was great!
We get our belt ranking in Tae Kwon Do, our forms are Tae Kwon Do, but we also train in practical self-defense, boxing and kick-boxing, and martial art weapons (escrima, bo, nunchucks). Physical conditioning is interwoven into all the curriculum, and is part of belt testing.
Students are constantly encouraged and their progress is frequently measured and rewarded.
For parents who dont want to do the martial arts, there are cardio kickboxing classes, so you can do that while your kid is training.
My nephew and son reached 2nd degree black belt rank, my daughter and I are 3rd degree and still going — and my daughter founded her own cardio kickboxing and self defense class at her college, as a freshman.
    This is a wonderful school.

    Frequently asked questions

Our new students take a diagnostic and free first lesson with us to determine their learning style as well as their aptitude in different stages of development. If all goes well, they have to opportunity to break a genuine wooden board at the end of the lesson.

As the owner, I have a master rank, or 4th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. My head instructor also has a master rank as well. Our entire staff is trained in-house, and are all of a black belt rank or above.

We do not have a standard pricing system, as every family is different. We also do not require a contract for our lessons. Our pricing model is an unlimited monthly style, meaning you pay one flat fee for as many classes as you desire every month.

We offer a multitude of options for our pricing, but an average price for each month per style is as follows:

    Kickboxing- $89

    Little Ninjas- $119

    Youth/Adult Martial Arts- $139

I started teaching as a leadership team student at the age of 13. I loved martial arts, and I loved being inside the studio, and I fell in love with teaching and ended up helping out almost every single day. I attained my first job at the studio at 16, and took ownership of the studio at 19.

We work with students ages 4+, and we have worked with students with the following disabilities:

    ADD

    ADHD

    ODD

    Down's Syndrome

    Epilepcy
