Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
With new students I will first do a video swing analysis. I have an app you can download to your phone so you can video yourself during your practices so you can keep track of your own progress. I will then check your clubs to make sure you are playing the proper equipment. If needed I will make any recommendations for your clubs. We will then go over your swing video together to identity any issues and questions you my have with your swing. Then we will go through some drills that can help with correcting any swing issues we might find.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified PGTAA teaching professional. I have been giving lessons to beginer and intermediate golfers for over ten years. I am also a certified club fitter and a master club builder with advanced shaft technology certification.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $75 for a single private lesson. Playing lessons on an executive course are $65 for single private lesson. Playing lessons are about course management and golf etiquette. For group lessons add $35 per additional student to the single rates.
How did you get started teaching?
My father was a golf instructor and I would watch and learn from him from a very young age. I have been playing golf since I was five years old.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all levels of golfers. I especially like working with begginer and intermediate golfers. I really enjoy helping all level of golfers to improve their game.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice would be to just make sure they have a real passion for the game and teaching the game.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I would ask about how much exspirence they have with teaching students of their particular level.
