Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Depending on his/her level of skill, we would start with the basics and work through the lesson getting more advanced as fits.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Business from Michigan State University in 2017. I love working with people, especially in a golf setting. I was three time captain and four time letter winner on the Men's Varsity Golf team at Michigan State. Throughout my college career, I helped my team win 9 events collectively along with two individual medalist honors. As a professional, I have won three times in the past 2 Summers and am close to my goal of acheiving status on the Korn Ferry Tour.

How did you get started teaching?
Through Lessons.com I will be teaching my first lessons professionally. I have experience working with my high school Alma mater's girls golf team as well as half of a year as a student assistant for the Michigan State Men's golf program.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone that can speak to you in a way that you understand fully. That might not be me, but most golf instructors are trying to groove your swing in a very similar way, there are just many different ways to try to explain that to you. Find the instructor that when they try to get a point across to you, you fully understand it.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What aspects of the game are you specifically trying to improve? I can help with the swing, maybe not as much as a certified PGA of America professional would be able to, but I can also help with the mental aspect. Playing for money is exhilarating for me and it certainly adds another dimension of pressure. Competing against a wide range of talented individuals including major champions, PGA Tour winners and collegiate standouts has taught me that thinking your way through a round of golf is as important as executing the shots. Eliminating mistakes will make you a better player.
