Zuma's Rescue Ranch is a horse rescue located in Littleton, Colorado that prioritizes rescuing and rehabilitating horses. Our lesson program at Zuma's emphasizes compassion and empathy for the horse. Mounted and unmounted horse lessons are available as well as summer horse camps. Learn how to ride and care for horses all while giving to animals that were once abused or neglected.
I love that my job is to help people understand and get to know horses. Horses are incredible, therapeutic creatures that can make a big impact on a person's life.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We have all of our students first take our Horsemanship 101 class. It is a 2 hour class where we tour the facility, go over barn rules, and learn how to groom, halter, and lead a horse. Even those with previous horse experience must take this class as every barn operates differently, and for the safety of all of our people and horses we need to be consistent and everyone needs to know our rules.
