Ariel is a NRHA world and reserve world champion! With life time earnings of 28k+ showing reining horses! She trains all types of riding horses. From horses that need more confidence down the trail to competing in the higher levels of the performance horse world! She has been riding since she would walk! And has been a professional since 2009!
What she enjoys the most is helping people and horses grow! She has a good selection of lesson horses! Horses that will teach kids or adults that have never sat on a horse before all the way to complete finished show horses! What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Evaluating how confident and what skill level the rider is to make sure she can pair them up with the right horse for the job! Going over EVERYTHING about horses and safety! Teaching people how to become partners with their horses
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
She has trained under professionals since she started riding! She has always wanted to be a horse training and riding instructor! She has had assistant positions over the last 10 years and decided to become head trainer and instructor in 2017! She has been in the winner circles and brought her clients with her!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lesson on one of her lesson horses are $60 an hour. If you wanted to haul your horse to Ariel it's $40 with a $20 haul in fee paid to the ranch. Training is $500 a month plus board to the ranch. Horses get rode 5 days a week.
How did you get started teaching?
She has always thoroughly enjoyed helping people and horses and always wanted to combine the topic of both! She grew up in 4h and helping out the other kids was always something she looked forward to!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with beginners that have never touched a horse all the way to other professional needing a second opinion from someone else in their field of training.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Meet with them! Go look at the facility you will be riding at and the horses they offer! Discuss your goals with the instructor and make sure they can help you reach them!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Cancelation policy's, scheduling, availability, how many times you want to ride a week/month and have a goal in mind!
