Each player/student is unique in his or her own way. Everyone learns differently and it is important to find out what words/technique "clicks" in each players mind in order for them to reach their fullest potential. Lessons are 1 hour long but we do not sit and watch the clock. A player/student does not leave a lesson until we feel they understand the concept of what is being taught and more importantly what to they need to do to improve on that skill.
I've personally worked with over 300 kids and adults in my years of instruction and feel that I have the knack of getting through to each and every client I work with. Not only do I stress the fundamentals of the game or skill to be learned...I make sure to build each clients mental confidence. I stress that hard work, dedication and being a great person both on and off the field is what will take them far in life and in the game itself. I'm very confident in my ability and hope that you will give me the opportunity to work with your child as I know it will improve their game and or skill set immensely.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our first lesson is always an evaluation of each players skill level. If it is baseball we evaluate throwing, hitting, fielding, pitching and catching. I get a feel for who the player is, how he or she learns and what we will need to work on to improve their game. If it is a sport or hobby other then baseball I get an idea of where the client is, where they want to go and come up with a plan on how to get there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been coaching and teaching for almost 15 years. I'm a Cornell University graduate and played 4 years of division 1 college baseball as a pitcher/middle infielder. I have worked and coached 100s of kids and have had great success.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons are cheaper the more you purchase, the # of kids participating in the lesson and/or if you pay ahead of time. Pricing also depends on where I need to travel and how long each lesson is. The first lesson (more of an evaluation) is usually the least expensive so the player and parents can get a feel for who I am and how I work.
How did you get started teaching?
Baseball and teaching are my 2 passions in life. Making a difference in the lives of young people is what drives me.
