Justin is an incredible teacher. I’ve worked with a few other people and the biggest difference is that Justin observes the issue and fixes it one piece at a time. He doesn’t just apply an one fix fits all solution, but individualizes it for the student and their skill level. He teaches drills in the lesson that can then be used in individual practice. The drills largely teach the student to feel the correct body movements rather than have to think about it. So far it has been quite successful in creating major improvement. He’s patient and most definitely knows what he is talking about. (Trust the process!) I’m looking forward to more lessons with Justin in the near future!

He made it an enjoyable experience and easy to understand instructions.

Justin is a patient and knowledgeable teacher. Really fun to work with. He doesn't try to fill your head with endless pre shot swing things to remember. He teaches you to feel when you hit it correctly and to recognize what went wrong when you don't. Most importantly Justin keeps it fun.

What a gentleman! Very patient, knowledgeable, and understanding. He was 6 minutes late though :-)

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

First I want to get to know the student, and what their golf goals are.  From there, the student and I form a plan of attack to achieve those goals.  I look at all parts of their game, from course management to pre-shot routine, not just making changes to their swing.  This approach can help reach the students goals quicker than a traditional methods.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a class A PGA professional with additional certification in teaching and coaching, which is liking having a masters in teaching.  I am always looking to get better, whether getting a new training aid or spending time working and observing the best teachers in the country.  Helping my students get and feel better about their game is a true passion on mine.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Every student is different, and has different goals and needs.  I approach each student's situation with two things in mind, what does the students want to achieve and what is the quickest way that we can get to meet their goals.  Because of this I do not have a "system" for pricing my service, some people need one lesson, others are looking for something every week. I price my lessons accordingly.

How did you get started teaching?

I have been playing golf for 20 years.  I got into the golf industry because I love helping people.  Helping a student find that "aha" moment is where I get the greatest satisfaction.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Take some time to do your research when choosing an instructor, talk to them over the phone.  Make sure that you and the teacher communicate well together, as this will be the foundation of learning.
