About

Spent a large part of my golf career making only slow improvements, that is until I made the Pomperaug Golf Team in High School... There are currently a few guys from a couple years ahead of my team year that play on the Korn Ferry Tour, so Pomperaug is always top tier golf with the best coaches and tools available.

I have a bachelor's degree from UCONN - Storrs in golf course management and have spent several years of my life as an assistant superintendent for several different high end country clubs in New England. Just recently got my handicap to under 4, which has been a product of all the free range and playing time I get working at my current club.

My goal is to help people improve at something they have been working at their whole lives, just with no real plan or direction.

Nick helped me get in touch with elements of the swing like aim point without dramatically trying to change my naturally athletic swing. He also is in touch with some abstract theory/intentionally looked away to see if there were nerves at play (there were) while providing good positive reinforcement to keep me comfortable. Highly recommend!

Nick is a great instructor and very knowledgeable! He is great with my 3 kids and is able to work well with each of their styles and temperaments. He has also helped me get back into the sport. We all very much enjoy working with him and see progress in our skills.

I appreciate that Nick takes his time to explain what Im doing wrong and work me through fixing my swing, also hes not like the other instructors Ive worked with who keep looking at the clock to get you out, he actually went overtime with me.

Nick really understands the game, he has a lot of patience and really takes the time to explain swing fundamentals and demonstrate things in depth for you. I only paid for an hour lesson the first time and we were there for almost 2, so that alone gave me an insight to his character, he genuinely cares and wants to see you get better, and he’s not there to just take your money and watch the clock until your time is up, he goes above and beyond. I’ve had two lessons so far with Nick and already seen huge improvements, and no plans on stopping. See you next week Nick!

Nick brought my skill level to a height that I didn’t think would’ve been possible over just a few week span. I was a true beginner who couldn’t even get the ball off the ground, now I have great air time with all my clubs. Has been a great experience

    Frequently asked questions

That depends ENTIRELY on the students current skill level and overall golf experience, as well as on age and physical ability...  So many people have the misconception that swinging harder is always better...  Why not let me help your swing be MUCH more effortless and work MUCH more efficiently for you and your game!

I do not.  I try my best to work with each individual and give them a price they are comfortable with... Discounts always available!  Especially if they commit to multiple lesson packages and BONUS if they can prepay for them in advance.

Was always working with my father on his game and once he really started to improve a few years back he talked me into doing some freelance teaching and it has just snowballed from there!

    ALL KINDS!  EVERYONE WELCOME!

Shot even par 36 on the back 9 at The Alliance Club at Oxford Greens.  Also have had 3 fairway hole out eagles this season, to top my 2 from last season...  Still no hole in ones yet though! : (

Find someone you feel comfortable with and that you learn a TON from on the first lesson. Also, quite important, price typically doesnt mean much... some of the cheapest lessons can be the best and visa versa!  Besides, even if the lesson is quite pricey, but you learn 10 times as much as a cheap lesson, which one is really more bang for your buck when it's all said and done?!

Set REALISTIC goals and be prepared to meet and exceed them sooner than you may think!  Ask yourself what you would like to get out of your golf game over the next season.
