I stand out from the competition in one way in that I'm able to answer any questions my student has throughout the week/s betweeen lessons by being only a phone call, text or email away so that they are not stuck on a particular issue preventing them from progressing between lessons. I bring value from my various musical experiences ranging from being a classically-trained concert pianist, songwriter, and guitarist in a performing band. I'm able to teach my students the basics of their instrument extending to intermediate and more advanced concepts

I'm an interpreter.
It's not uncommon that when learning something you have to understand it backwards to understand it forwards. Sometimes, you may not understand the significance of all of the pixels until you see the whole image. I get that. Because I did it too.
I learned Spanish from scratch, with the help of a great teacher from Havana, Cuba. He taught me everything about the language, starting with the alphabet, conjugations, verb tenses and then we got into the more advanced stuff - the nuances of the language, the minor details. I studied the structure and the history of the language. I mastered it. Mastering Spanish help

In addition to being a die-hard food fan, I have been cooking on my own since I can remember. My parents owned restaurants in Washington, DC and Richmond for over 30 years and are French which inevitably creates foodie children.
I cook often at home, am constantly checking out new restaurants and new recipes. I take the money most people use to buy clothes to buy food.
I am also in the wine industry which naturally pairs very well with the food industry.
In my opinion, food is to be shared and cherished - I can't wait to share my enthusiasm, passion and skills with those who are interested in learning more!

I have 12 years of experience teaching one-to-one or to groups. I can help you improve your general English, no matter what your level. I know that if I LOSE YOUR ATTENTION you'll learn more slowly so I work hard to KEEP LESSONS INTERESTING. I do that by being focussed closely on your needs .... your LEVEL, the PACE at which you can learn and your INTERESTS. You'll need only a notebook and a dictionary. I'll provide all other material.Your LIFE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO WAIT while you improve your English, so I meet some of my students at their workplace which allows them to FIT AN ENGLISH LESSON into their WORKING DAY.

Last year I taught businessmen at Shanghai’s leading university and also coached adults, teenagers and small children all to speak more fluently. People would consider me an "old school" meaning I learned to speak and write English when standards were high (we didn't have comp

I have over 13 years of experience teaching English to both adults and children. I currently work part-time teaching ESL at a local school. My approach is to build confidence and to tailor lessons/courses to each student's unique needs. I believe in a clear framework for highlighting needs and building skills whilst encouraging consistent development. 1:1 or 2:1 also provides a perfect basis to provide some flexibility and specific tailoring for study; it is arguably the most efficient way to learn! If you would like to meet to discuss yours or your child's needs, please contact me to arrange a time. The first hour is free so we can spend tim
