About

I am a 26 year experienced Class A Instructor mentoring, coaching and playing professionally. I played D1 golf at Towson Univ and have multiple wins in individual and 2-man team events. I thoroughly enjoy getting the most out of my students through my many years of honing my skills. I take on each new student and help them make a realistic short and long term plan for improvement. After a full analysis of their personal makeup in bio-mechanics and motion. I’ve had huge success over my career producing positive results - have coached and mentored 16 juniors to NCAA Div 1 golf scholarships. I’ve also been nominated multiple times for our MAPGA Section Teacher of the Year and Junior Golf Leader of the Year. I utilize high speed video and Flight Scope launch monitor to give every student valuable data to fully understand how to improve⛳️

I’ve been in the business for 26 years and couldn’t imagine doing anything else as a career. I was introduced to golf at the age of 5 by my dad and have been enthralled with learning more every day since. I really enjoying building solid student/coach relationships and helping my guys and girls reach their potential!

Hands down, Parker Parsons is the best coach I’ve ever worked with. ... and I’ve worked with many. Breaks concepts down into easy-to-follow word pictures I get and can put to use. Optimistic I’ll finally be able to lower my 14 handicap. Thanks Parker and The Golf Institute!

Parker and I worked together for a few years now and I feel as my swing keeps getting better each time out. He is able to recall what we have worked on in the past and continues to tighten it up. I have been able to transform my game through our work and it has made golf even more fun.

Parker is an excellent coach and instructor. I started working with Parker when I regularly shot high 80s / low 90s. From the first day when we adjusted my grip and setup, everything has always been about improving my game the right way. He explains why were making changes and shows me, in different ways if needed, how to do it. Parker also has launch monitors which is really fun to see my numbers and make minor tweaks based on the data or to use inside during the winter. Around the greens, Parker has definitely improved my short game. Hes superb on the greens and his ability to teach me to roll the ball better has definitely shaved strokes of my game. Perhaps most importantly, Parker is a great guy to spend time with. Hes really friendly and encouraging, and is always easy to communicate with. Because of my time with working Parker, I regularly shoot high 70s / low 80s and my entire game is always improving and I understand what I need to do keep getting better.

Parker has a very good eye for the golf swing. He was able to help me keep it in play with only small swing adjustment. That alone amounts to 6-9 strokes per round.
Also two simple putting tips helped me from getting locked up over that 4 footer.
    Thanks Pro

    Frequently asked questions

I like to do a full swing and short game analysis - get indepth info on any prior injuries, surgeries and physical limitations

Find out your short and long term goals - give them an overall assessment then one by one address your faults and areas for improvement giving them a road map to success. Each student is different just like the DNA of a new patient - so we find together what best works for you. Successes in golf are not made with the same skill set and one swing motion - variations get the job done as it all depends on the individual player. I am not a method teacher, though I strongly stress good fundamentals. My analogy is like building a house if you dont have a strong foundation it will eventually fall apart!

I've attended dozens of PGA Teaching Summits, Certification Programs and Club Fitting Workshops to hone my skills.

I offer individual rate, 4 hr lesson package, 7 hr lesson package and a 10 hour lesson package.

My dad introdueced me into the game at the age of 5 and I haven't stopped learning and playing since! I became a D1 college player at Towson Univ. and as soon as I graduated a became a Teaching Professional at the Green Spring Valley Hunt Club in Owings Mills MD where I spent 12 memorable and rewarding years!

I've worked with students of all ages 5 - 85 years of age. Great juniors, elite college player's, amateur champions and beginners, mini-tour player's - I love to coach and mentor.

I’ve donated my time to the First Tee Program for multiple years - showcased our facilities - gave group instruction and traveled with a special young girl, Lauren Artis and her family to Peeble Beach where she competed in a Senior PGA event alongside Fred Funk.
