About
Group instruction is kept fun and educational. Individual instruction is tailored to the student's goals. In both cases, I am fulfilled by the success of my students. What sets me apart is my ability to simplify the game into relatable terms, quelling myths about the game, and focusing on incremental growth (one step at a time).
I am always thrilled when any student accomplishes a milestone that they may not have expected, like shooting a personal best round or winning a club event.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We start by assessing the student's goals (short and long term). We then discuss a plan of attack and outline the steps necessary to achieve those goals. We will then assess the area(s) of the student's game that needs improvement or find an area that would benefit the most from improvement depending on the amount of time the student is willing to commit to practice.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified PGA Professional and US Kids Golf Certified coach. I am a Mizuno brand ambassador and can provide club fitting services. I have years of competitive golf experience from junior to scholastic to professional tournament play. I've also coached a scholastic team.

How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching as the captain of my high school golf team. Then in college, I worked at the Country Club of Colorado, where I was introduced to formal instruction under Colorado Golf Hall of Fame instructor Ann Finke.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with students between the ages of 6 and 80, with abilities ranging from novice to advanced 0 handicap players.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently our facility opened a beautiful PGA Tour quality practice area as well as an indoor facility with a state of the art HD Golf Simulator.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would advise any student to first asses their goals and then frame a period of time in which we can motivate ourselves to accomplish those goals with a series of steps for steady skill-building. In other words, if you would like a 'tune-up' just to make good ball contact and keep up with the pace of your group/ league, a more short term approach would be advised. If you wish to play competitive golf ie- win a club championship or break 80, your goal becomes longer-term and demands a more structured commitment such as the player development program.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Consider the challenge of making significant physical changes to your swing and the commitment of time and effort required to carry out more difficult changes. This is why I recommend setting realistic, time-oriented goals that can be measured.
