About
A little about me and our lessons together. I begin by looking at the fundamentals with all my students whether they are beginners or seasoned veterans. The fundamentals are the foundation for everything golf and they are simple to learn. During our first lesson I will evaluate your fundamentals, we will talk about your golf game and discuss a plan for your Golfing Life journey.
My teaching philosophy is for us to develop your fundamentals as close to razor sharp as we can, so the golf swing is effortless, efficient and fun. I keep my lessons light, focused on purpose, while giving my students knowledge of their swing as you begin your Golfing Life journey with myself. If you have been playing the game I work with what you are doing or at least with what you wish you could do to hit the ball well. We work on the thought process of preparation with 3 simple steps that will set you up to hit good shots. We prepare to perform which will allow you to perform a simple efficient swing.
In the Golfing Life we quiet the mind and turn up the fun. Our swings are never broken so we do not spend time "fixing" the golf swing we enjoy the ride, watching your game get as good as you want it to be.
I have been teaching golf for over 25 years now more so as a passion than as a job. I continually get chills during lessons because of the thrill I get watching a swing develop, if I am working with a beginner, or watching a change occur in a golfer that has been dealing with a problem for years. Watching a slice disappear and watching a student hit a draw with the driver after years of slicing is always exciting to me. Lessons are interesting to me as I talk with and get to know each student watching them experience shots that they typically do not see often enough. This is what motivates me.
Watching a student begin the Golfing Life journey with me as they see good shots from the begining, creating a respectable short game and going into their first round with confidence and knowledge of the game is as good as it gets. I am rooting for every student and will coach you to reach your goals for your game, whatever they may be. In the Golfing Life we prepare to perform and perform to have fun.
This journey for me began in Florida in the mid 90's as a Teaching Professional at a Top 100 Learning Center in the United States. Later as the Teaching Professional at the Dupont Country Club, host of a Golf Major Championship the LPGA Championship, I worked with many students of all ages and talent levels as well as Special Olympic Athletes. Moving on as an Assistant Professional and then as a Head Professional I saw the benefits of learning golf as I volunteered at the Coatesville VA Hospital teaching Veterans of Foriegn Wars golf which gave them confidence in themselves and begin their next journey in life as civilians. An unbeliveable experience for myself that is hard to match.
I now teach/coach the game of golf at my Golfing Life Golf Academy, watching my students, of all ages and walks of life, enjoy and become amazing golfers everyday.
I look forward to making golf simple and fun for you, wherever you are in your Golfing Life.
