Interview student to learn past experiences(if any)playing golf, other sports and activities.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Communication is the key. Be sure to ask questions, especially if you're not sure what the teacher is explaining.

What their specific needs are and what it is they want to accomplish by taking lessons.
