Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our programs begin with a half hour evaluation of the rider to determine the rider’s level of skills and complete a goal sheet that is reviewed every six months. Once a rider enters the program they complete an hour orientation to learn the policies and procedures of the program. Group lessons and private lessons are available. For riders that wish to expand their skills, we offer the following events: hunter/jumper, hunter paces, trial rides for beginner, intermediate and advanced, Fox Hunts and schooling events. Western Riders are welcome as well.
We also operate, Centering on the Medicine Horse which instructs rides on the psychology of horses. These are free classes as the Medicine Horse is a nonprofit organization. In addition, Centering on the Medicine Horse host the Pony Center which instructs riders on the ground. This program is designed to instruct riders on all the behind the scenes information such as braiding, clipping, learning the heart rates of horses, equine etiquette, and host a wealth of additional information. Please let us know when we can schedule a lesson for you. We appreciate your trust in our farm and welcome you to our program. Thank you and Happy Riding!
