About
Spectrum Show Stables emphasizes a "horse first" approach to the hunter jumper riding discipline. We believe that an emotionally and physically sound horse is the most essential part of any successful training program.
At Spectrum, practicing necessary skills and exercises is equally valuable as taking pleasure and fun in riding. When you start your riding career with us, we set short term goals that help forge the path to your ultimate long term goal as a competitive equestrian athlete. Though Spectrum is a show barn, showing is not the primary focus for all of our clients.
Individuals-- children and adults alike-- ride because they have love and respect for horses. From that place of love and respect for the animal comes something that even the best training cannot create-- passion. Passion for the horse, the sport, and the beautiful skill that is horse and rider existing as one is what we create.
Whether your dream is to represent your country on the world stage at the Olympic games, or to ride into the sunset with your equine partner, putting love and respect for your horse first will make your dreams a reality.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We offer lessons for both adults and children at every level.
Our lesson horses are very well behaved, sophisticated and safe animals that are trained to help teach you to become a better rider. Just as we teach riders of all levels, we train many different horses of various experience levels and disciplines.
Using all of the experiential and learned knowledge, our team can help you realize your goal as an equestrian athlete.
We utilize a wide variety of different approaches to ensure that students fully understand what they are learning.
Some individuals learn by listening (auditory), others by seeing (visual), and some by doing (kinesthetic).
That is why we recommend a private lesson for your first experience so we can better understand how you ride and learn.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our team has a combined teaching experience of 40+ years. Our owner, Morgan Conroy has three bachelors degrees one of which is in sociology and social psychology. This in combination with our eperiential knowlege allows us to better educate your child to the equestrian sport.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Our pricing is determined by the type and length fo the lessons taken. We also offer lesson packages.
