My teaching philosophy is based on five concepts; Understanding your own swing, let the golf swing be natural, begin with a good grip, aim and setup position. Enjoy yourself and learn in real playing conditions on the golf course.
I believe giving players the power of understanding their own golf swing will help them improve at a good rate. I like to learn the natural tendencies of a player before I change anything. A player’s natural movements may help improve their playing ability rather than hinder it, so I try to incorporate what is comfortable for the student in their personal golf swing. I like to start everyone out with a good grip, aim and setup position aspects of the golf swing. Here are the (3) big key parts for my teaching and to get the student to have fun. Golf is just a game for most of the population, so it should be fun. To help students of the game enjoy themselves, I like to start their learning in real playing conditions on the golf course and I encourage that they practice in those conditions.
These five concepts embody what I believe makes me a great teacher for all students of the game. My philosophy is the reason why anyone, male or female, young or old, can play and enjoy this wonderful game of golf.
When coaching students the level of the player is not that important. it is their desire to improve and their joy from improving that makes the experience such a fulfilling process for me”

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first start of with all of my students with Grip, aim and setup. These (3) fundementals are the key for a great start to enjoying the game of golf.
I have a great time with all of my students and begin with filming them before giving them the lesson. This way the student can see after the lesson what I am looking at and how it applies to them. After this there are several diffferent avenues and programs the student can follow if desired. Throughout the lesson I also take the time to start getting to know the student and what they desire to accomplish
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I Graduated from The Golf Academy of America in 2013 with a Bachelors Degree in teaching. I also took and Passed the Player's ability Test (PAT) for the PGA. I'm currently working towards my Class A Licence through the PGA of America.
I've been working and teaching students at The Club at Emerald Hills in Hollywood Florida now for the past 3 years.

How did you get started teaching?
I have extensive education and training pertaining to teaching golf through the Golf Academy of America. I'm also a PGA Certified and Licensed Instructor specializing in Full Swing, Putting and Short Game instruction.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from ages 10 to 80. In that range there have been beginning students who never touched a golf club to students who have played for many years and are trying to improve to make their game more enjoyable.
I am great with all students at different levels of abilities. This includes from the very beginning student and introducing to the most advanced at the college and professional levels. Life is fun and this game is about people. As in the great teacher Harvey Penick's perspective, if you play golf you are my friend.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
It is your responsibility to insure that there is a fit between you and your instructor on all levels regarding personality type, mutual goals, are your beliefs similar about the game and how it should be played, as well as your instructor's ability to relate to your individual needs.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
There is a lot of bad information in the world of golf instruction, there is also very good information from a few key individuals that have been fortunate to have great mentors in their career, surround yourself with a winning team, make sure your golf instructor knows how to build a plan for you to improve.
A student needs to have goals in mind going into taking lessons, what do they want out of lessons besides the obvious to play better golf.
