About
We are a unique and beautiful property in the heart of Jacksonville, Florida. We were established in 1953. We offer lessons from beginner to intermediate. We offer both English and Western riding. Every rider is evaluated before lessons begin to pinpoint where the instructor should begin their individual lessons. From the very beginning we work to build a foundation of safety while on the ground and in the saddle. The relationship between the rider and the horse are also important to us!
Horses have been in my life from the beginning. My passion is for teaching a firm foundation in horsemanship. A foundation that can be used in any part of a person's life. It's a reward to see adults and kids learn, not just about horses but about life and themselves. Horsemanship is more than just riding a horse. I have seen it teach people to trust others, control their emotions, become patient when they weren't before and so much more. It is an honor for me to work with these amazing animals to help others.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
During the first lesson, we evaluate the client's level of knowledge and match them with the appropriate horse and instructor. Our riders learn to groom and tack the horse as well as apropriate care after the lesson. We teach a strong foundation of working with them on the ground and riding. Teaching safety and relationship is a priority at our barn. We want a safe environment for everyone to have fun while learning.

I take lessons myself, have ridden in clinics and attended clinics on training the horse from the ground as well as the saddle. I continue to attend these types of clinics and complete online equine courses to keep my knowledge in the industry up to date.
