About

I am very detail oriented and pay very close attention to whether you are doing the exercises correctly, with optimal posture and form. Using poor form is the number one cause of injury during workouts. I also focus on posture because, as a massage therapist, I understand how sub-optimal posture can lead to a variety of aches and pains throughout the body. So we train with correct posture so that you can carry that posture into your daily life. I also focus on going through the full range of motion to make sure you are using every muscle fiber in the muscle group we're using for each exercise. Additionally, I focus on proper breath control. Controlling the breath is crucial to controlling the body, and taking deep slow breaths gives you more energy to complete your exercises.

I like to start out easy with clients to gauge where you are in your abilities, and slowly progress you into more challenging exercises. I do what some would call circuit training where you do one set of an exercise and quickly go to the next exercise in a series of 6-8 different exercises that work different muscle groups in different parts of the body. Each series is repeated 3 times with a short 90-second break between. With fewer breaks between sets, you get strength training and cardio training in one workout and burn a lot more calories!

Most importantly, I tailor the workouts and exercises to meet your abilities, needs, and goals.

I love helping people. I believe my purpose in this life is to be a facilitator for healing. I live this purpose as a husband, father, personal trainer, massage therapist, chi-gong teacher, and singer/songwriter. I feel honored to be a part of people's healing journey and I feel that physical fitness is a big part of real healthcare, where YOU take care of YOUR health.
