Golf – Free Intro Session (30 minutes) Golf – Free Intro Session (30 minutes) This complimentary 30-minute introductory session is designed to help students get to know my coaching approach and gain a clear first understanding of their golf game. Sessions are held at Cooper Colony Golf Course or SpringTree Golf Club. The exact location and time are personally coordinated after booking. During the session, we conduct an initial swing evaluation, review basic short game fundamentals, and discuss the student’s goals, experience level, and areas for improvement. The objective is to identify what is limiting progress and to outline a clear and structured training path. The lesson itself is completely free. The only cost is the practice range balls, which are paid directly at the facility and typically cost around $5. After this session, if the student decides to continue, they enter a 6-month personalized coaching and guidance plan, designed to help them develop their own structured training routine with clear direction and purpose. Within this plan, the golfer returns periodically for technical review sessions, where we evaluate the development of muscle memory, movement control, and the integration of mind and body. These review sessions allow us to refine technique, correct patterns, and reinforce efficient and natural movement. Through this personal and continuous training process, the golfer not only improves technical performance, but also acquires the knowledge and awareness needed to control the mind and body during key moments on the golf course, and to apply this same control in daily life. This introductory session allows students to make an informed decision, experience the Zen in Movement approach, and understand how structured, conscious, and long-term training can lead to real, lasting improvement in golf and beyond. This session is the first step toward building a structured and conscious golf game.

Sessions are held at Cooper Colony Golf Course or SpringTree Golf Club. The exact location and schedule are personally coordinated after booking to ensure an optimal training experience for both players. Each session includes technical swing analysis, focused work on short game and full swing, and practical drills aimed at developing proper muscle memory and consistency in movement. Training is adapted to each player’s individual level, goals, and learning pace. In addition, breathing exercises and Zen-based mental training are integrated to enhance focus, emotional control, and confidence during practice and on the course. This format is ideal for friends, couples, or family members who want to train together while still receiving personalized attention, balanced pacing, and a motivating learning environment. Semi-private lessons allow players to learn by observing each other, reinforce concepts together, and progress with greater commitment and continuity in their golf development process.

I am Iván D. Mayor, a professional golf instructor with an integrated approach that combines technical instruction, mental training, and body awareness, helping golfers of all levels achieve a real, solid, and lasting transformation in their game.

I currently teach at Cooper Colony Golf Course and SpringTree Golf Club, and I complement on-course instruction with online programs designed to reinforce and enhance the work done on the golf course.

Short Game System

I teach the short game in a structured, simple, and highly effective way, focused on smart decision-making around the green:

Putting: green reading, speed control, and confidence

Chipping and pitching: correct club selection and trajectory control

Approach shots: precision and control from 30 to 100 yards

Bunkers: clear, simple, and repeatable technique

Strategy and decision-making near the green

Full Swing Training

The full swing is taught from a functional, natural, and repeatable perspective, avoiding artificial movements that don’t hold up under real playing conditions.

This training focuses on:

Technical corrections focused on real performance
