Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My process for working with new students begins with an evaluation of skills and goals, followed by the development of a personalized training plan. Teaching is tailored to the student's learning style, using hands-on instruction, demonstrations, and both visual and auditory feedback. I incorporate targeted exercises and practices to reinforce concepts. Regular progress tracking is conducted, adjusting the plan as necessary, and I maintain open communication for adjustments and questions. I foster a supportive and motivating environment, aiming not only to improve technique but also to enhance the student's confidence and enjoyment of the game.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
With my experience in martial arts, Zen, and golf, I have created the "Short Line" system, a unique method that integrates principles from these disciplines to improve the short game in golf. This system is based on precision, concentration, and mental control, leveraging techniques from martial arts and Zen philosophy to strengthen the mind-body connection and optimize performance on the field. The fusion of these practices has allowed me to develop a holistic approach, which not only enhances the technical skills of my students but also promotes a more focused and calm mental state, essential for success in golf.
