Taylor Academy Martial Arts is a place for the whole family to learn self -defense and get into shape. Transportation is available to students who need it for our afterschool program. We teach traditional tae kwon do as well as other martial arts such as kickboxing and muy thai techniques. We have a passion to teach Students to be self disciplined and have character and integrity!Our chief instructor Dirk Taylor has been a teacher in the school system for over twenty years as well as a martial artist for over that same time period specializing in tae kwon do, kung fu, kempo, kickboxing, and muy thai. I enjoy the developement of character and discipline that comes with seeing a student build their confidence through learning how to protect themselves. I enjoy the growth that students display when I have taught them a drill or when they enjoy the lessons.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Student's come in and try a free week of classes then, if they like it, we invite them to get their uniform and get started with their training.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked as an educator in the school system for over twenty years with a masters in educational leadership and I have been a martial artist with over thirty years of experience in several styles.
