At ESCO, we have a relaxed and drama-free enviroment. We welcome riders of all levels, no prior experience required! All of our lesson horses are safe and will help you become a great all-around equestrian. We do go to horse shows, but students are not required to attend. Feel free to reach out and come by to see our facility and meet our lovely horses!
My favorite part of my job is seeing my students improve. The "ah-ha!" moments is what makes teaching so great for me. With that being said, I am here to help my students reach their riding goals. A good rule I follow by is if I tell my student something 3 times and they still don't understand, it's my job to communicate what I'm trying to say in a different way. I have developed many communication tequniques to help my students to get those "ah-ah!" moments. I also use the Franklin Method in my teaching to help students achieve a better feel in the saddle. If you are not familiar with the Franklin Method, I welcome new students to come watch my lessons to see how this method works!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
In the first lesson with a new student, we will go over grooming and tacking up a horse together. The new student and I will discuss the student's riding goals and then they will ride. Based off of student's prior riding experince and knowledge will depend on what we do in the first lesson. After the student is done riding, we will go over together untacking a horse and what care the horse will need after being ridden. If student chooses to do a second lesson, we expect student to arrive 30 minutes early for lesson to groom and tack up their horse so they get a full hour of riding.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been riding for 17 years and teaching for 2 years. I have ridden many horses of all levels and have worked with many well-known trainers throughout my riding career. I have competed at many A/AA rated horse shows successfully. Some of the shows I've competed at are HITS, WEF, and Tryon. I specialize in jumpers, but also have experince with hunter/jumpers, dressage, and eventing. My favorite and most effective trainning I've done is the Franklin Method. I apply this to all of my students and find this help students tremendously.
