Angel R. says, "Coach Dre has been amazing trainer for my sons, he has worked with them during my oldest sons high school football years and working with my younger son coming up into the sport. Not only has he been a great trainer but an even better support system for them. He is a great person to have in your corner to motivate and push even when it gets hard. He does not let them settle for less but teaches them work hard to reach for their best potential. We couldn’t ask for a better trainer! He is by far the best!!" Read more

I absolutely love being able to give back to the future generations. My favorite thing to witness within the game is the personal growth that kids have from year to year with the proper guidance. I got into coaching to directly invest in the next generation, through teaching the beautiful game of baseball. When I get together to work with a student-athlete, they will learn, but they will also have fun while doing so. The game ultimately is just that, a game, and it should be fun....

Hello, my name is Brandon Henson from Columbus Ohio and moved down to Florida after college. I played 5 years in college from 2017-2021. Played two years at a Juco named Sinclair CC before playing three years at VCU in Richmond VA. I had a batting average above .300, four out of the five years in college, I broke the career home run record at Sinclair CC and I started every year in college, although injures played a big part in my college career. My approach to training a baseball player seems to be unique, I don’t just give you a swing, my goal is to help you find your swing not mine or anyone else’s. We may go through a cycle of trial an

Your Baseball Training questions, answered

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Lessons.com.

How much do private baseball lessons cost?

Private baseball lessons cost $50 to $75 per 30-minute lesson and $80 to $140 per 1-hour lesson. The price depends on your location, the instructor's experience and reputation, the student's age, and whether the lesson includes extras like a video analysis of the player's performance.

Many coaches offer lower prices per lesson if you purchase a package that includes 6 or 10 lessons. The average package prices are:

  • 6 pack of 30-minute lessons: $270 – $420
  • 6 pack of 1-hour lessons: $450 – $720
  • 10 pack of 30-minute lessons: $400 – $600
  • 10 pack of 1-hour lessons: $700 – $1,100

Are private baseball lessons worth it?

Private baseball lessons may be worth it if your child currently plays the sport, loves it, and has expressed an interest in improving their skills and performance. Private lessons can help your child advance their skills, develop good habits, and avoid forming bad habits.

Motivation and a drive to improve are key factors in whether or not the lessons will actually help your child. It's important for your child to practice in between private lessons.

Children who receive private baseball lessons are usually more likely to advance to playing at higher levels than children who only receive group coaching during regular team practice. However private lessons don't guarantee your child will play collegiate or professional baseball.

What is the difference between private and semi-private baseball lessons?

In a private baseball lesson, the athlete trains one-on-one with an instructor who tailors the lesson specifically to their needs and skill level. In a semi-private lesson, two athletes work together with one instructor. Semi-private lessons, also called partner lessons, typically cost 10% to 20% less than private lessons. However, because the trainer's attention is divided between the two athletes, the athletes don't get the same level of individualized instruction as they would in a private lesson.

What age should you start pitching lessons?

Baseball instructors generally recommend that children start pitching lessons at around 8 to 12 years old, though there are no age requirements or exact rules. Learning fundamental pitching skills early on can help your child avoid developing bad habits that will be difficult for them to break later.

However, your child should not start taking pitching lessons until they are comfortable throwing the ball as well as catching the ball one-handed.

Coach Dre works with my son for Defensive Line and Linebacker positions. He taught technique and speed specific skills. He is a positive influence. He watches his practices and games so he can determine the areas that they need to work on. Coach Dre bases his training specific to the athlete's needs to make them a better player.
