About
Wendelken Piano Studio is the only Royal Conservatory of Music Founding School for hundreds of miles. We take joy and pride in offering top-tier lessons to students who want a option for the finest training. We are selective, because what we offer is not the "easiest" path, but it is the most authentic way to learn the piano, and our many state and national winners can attest to how well our classical training works. We simply focus on doing things right, and our students wouldn't study anywhere else!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We always meet in person for an interview and audition. If the student is a beginner, we treat you to a free sample lesson. Then, once we have spent a little time together, we are ready to talk about lessons!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BFA in Piano Performance from SUNY Purchase, NY, Magna Cum Laude, where I studied under the imcomparable Tung Kwong-Kwong, who was a disciple of Artur Schnabel, from the direct teaching lineage of Beethoven, Liszt, Czerny.
My Masters was done at the Royal Academy of Music in London, where I studied with concert artist Piers Lane.
As an artist, I was incredibly lucky to be able to train with some of the great pianists of the 20th century. I'm told that one of my superpowers is that I can take this incredibly complicated music and break it down in such a way that students can understand.
I have founded classical music studios in Manhattan, Westchester, NY, London, England and Birmingham, England. My current studio, Wendelken Piano Studio, has been a hugely popular destination for classical training, drawing talented students of all ages and levels, including adults and professional musicians.
We are the place where professional musicians send their children to study. We also work with several area professional musicians and piano teachers, who are taking their music to the next level with us.
We see ourselves as a professional studio, not a commercial venture. We exist to teach music in its most refined form- in the classical manner. We will never take shortcuts that many do, as these shortcuts ultimately hurt our students' progress. When you study with us, your success is assured.
