Debbie is a retired Family and Consumer Sciences teacher. She taught students from grades 6 through adult for 35 years. The last 16 years of her career were teaching middle school students how to design and sew costumes at a Magnet school of the Arts. Many of her students have gone on to use their skills as they continue with their education and careers. Debbie also enjoys quilting, embroidery, recycling and repurposing clothes and textile arts. I have 30+ years in the field,as a children's illustrator as well as being a registered copyist at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC. I paint in oil and create portraits, do live event painting and enjoy creating pen and ink and renderings of architecture as well.
