Debbie is a retired Family and Consumer Sciences teacher. She taught students from grades 6 through adult for 35 years. The last 16 years of her career were teaching middle school students how to design and sew costumes at a Magnet school of the Arts. Many of her students have gone on to use their skills as they continue with their education and careers. Debbie also enjoys quilting, embroidery, recycling and repurposing clothes and textile arts. She is an example of “You can take the teacher out of the classroom, but you can’t take the classroom out of the teacher!” I enjoy the process of having the vision to seeing a finished creation....

Cris Godoy is a multidisciplinary artist with background in architecture, originally from Brazil, and residing in Tampa, FL. An avid traveler, Cris sees the city with the eyes of an "andarilho", a Portuguese word meaning the wanderer, the explorer discovering new territory. Cris navigates between the realm of figurative and abstract work. What begins as drawings and watercolor sketches painted using watercolor on-site, develops into mixed media paintings in studio. Her art is made similar to how her journeys are made; walking to step away from the comfort zone of the studio and seeking new experiences. Cris is available for workshop adven
