Peyton Matthers Equine Servces

I provide individualized instruction tailored to my student's needs. I have been involved in the horse industry for 24 years. I am a CHA certified instructor with a Level 4 rating in Huntseat/Jumping. I competed on the A-Circuit as a junior in Hunters, Jumpers and Equitation. In college, I competed on both NCAA and IHSA teams and coached IHSA after graduation and then spent 4 years as the Director of a 30+ horse rdng stable and lessons program. I am committed to constantly learning and improving my skills for the benefit of my students. I have been lucky enough to have opportunities throughout my life to study under and work with numerous, talented equine professionals, all of whom have shared various, diverse methods of horsemanship with me. As such, I have a very wide knowledge base to pull from and use to develop well-rounded riders with a rock solid foundation. I take every opportunity to learn and try new disciplines and activities, which I can then pull from to create excitng and engaging lessons. I believe variety and excitement are key in keeping horses and riders engaged and happy long-term.

I am also a Civilian Marsmanship Program Master Rifle Instructor and a certfied NRA Rifle Instructor and regualry teach gun safety and certify Instructors for summer camps.

I love to teach and share knowledge. I spent a year teaching high school after graduation to learn new teachng methods and develop my tool set to better help my students. I love seeing those moments of underatanding, when things just click. It is such a joy to me to share my passion and knowledge with the next generation of riders.
