I like to teach horsemanship so that you understand the horse and understand that you are a team. You have to trust each other and care for each other. You will learn to ride any horse bc you understand why the horses do what they do and how to work with them. You are not going to tell a 1200lb animal what to do you have to ask it what to do. It is a partnership. You have to learn to trust each other which is why it works so well in therapy with PTSD bc it teachs you to feel again and associare with something after the trama. Horses are readers they read a person very well. When you join up with this creature big enough to crush you with just one step, you have the most amazing dance you will ever feel.

I have been around horses since I was 7 years old and I have worked my way to where I am. Nothing was handed to me and riding horses is a dangerous thing. Dont be fooled it is a creature tht can weigh a ton and you have to know how to work together or some one (usually you) will get hurt. I work with both English and Western and I believe the rider should learn to ride not just look like they can ride. i use the teachings of many to fit a program to your needs. It will shock you to see your chiuld with adhd change their way of thinking without meds bc of what they are3 learning in the areana.
