About this pro

I'm a 30 year P.G.A. member. My students understand why the ball flies like it does & what causes the flight. Simply explanation & a verbal connection with the student is my key to success. I'm a Certified USKIDs Coach & a Positive Coaching Alliance member. Also an Adaptive Certified Teaching Professional. We specialize with Disabled Veterans & others with some type of disability. I received the 2017 Georgia PGA Patriot Award for my involvement with our veterans.

My students range from beginners to low handicap players including junior & lady golfers.Having a student hit a shot they have never hit before and calling me after a round of golf is a thrill. Putting a club in a new players hands for the first time and introducing them to the great game of golf. Teaching my disabled veterans is the most satisfying part of my profession.

Engaged, knowledgeable, good communicator, and fun. Other than that he’s no good. ;)

He watches what you have. Start the process of what he want to work on and discuss as a plan with you. Too many teachers use one method for all students. Kevin knows that one size don’t fit all.

I am a 73 year old golfer who has been playing the game for 63 yrs. My son went to college on a golf scholarship in Florida. So I have seen many instructors on the do’s and don’ts on the golf swing. When I moved to Lake Arrowhead community in 2013, I needed some help on more distance and less slice. Reasons Kevin is so successful as an instructor: 1) He evaluates on the range your swing——doesn’t want to make major changes 2) He stressed getting on plane——especially on the downswing——don’t break the plane of glass !! 3) Kevin’s demeanor just relaxed me to concentrate on my swing—works for young & old golfers 4) After putting the ball on the green———comes on how to score with the putter——I was an average putter 5) Kevin’s Pro Low Putting system —— I have learned to roll the ball — very, very few three putts—consider myself one of best putters in the Club

I have been working with Kevin Aines, at Lake Arrowhead GC for several years. Kevin is a great teacher who loves what he does and gets excited at his students’ progress. He does not drastically change your swing, but rather works on making the right fundamental moves in the swing. For me, I was swaying back with the backswing and staying on my ride side. He got me clearing the left side and making room for a proper downswing--- for the first time in my 55 years of playing golf! This culminated in my winning the Senior Club Championship at Lake Arrowhead in 2018, by 11 shots. Thanks to Kevin, and some hard work, I am excited about playing ----and I enjoy working on the drills that Kevin has given me. I would highly recommend Kevin to anyone, from beginners to championship level players.
