Voted one of The 50 Best Women Teachers in Amercia by Golf Digest. I am an educator who teaches golf. I can make the game understandable to all ages. I teach people golf not golf to people. My students range in age from age 6 to 101.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always interview the student. I want to know other sports you have played, your profession, even if reitired. I need to know if you have any physical limitations that could affect your. Golf swing. And finally I want to know your golf goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the LPGA teaching division for 40 years. I went through all their training. I have reached their highest level of the profession, Master Professional.
I also have a doctorate degree in Adult education and taught high school and college for 28 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$75 hour. Series of give hour lessons $350.
How did you get started teaching?
I grew up playing golf and always wanted to be a teacher. In College I worked in the University golf shop and played on the Golf Team. I knew that teaching was my calling.
What types of students have you worked with?
Juniors age 6 and above. I am the director of the LPGA Girls Golf Club in Bluffton for 10 years. I am also a U.S. Kids certified golf coach.
Since my doctorate degree is in Adult Education, I know how to relate to the senior learner
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Two years ago the USGA recognized me at their annual meeting at the Waldorph Astoria as a "Champion in the game of golf."
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Call and interview the golf professional. Ask them if they use teaching aids, give notes, etc. Ask if they teach beginners. Ask if they have a website with testemonials.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are my golf goals? Am I willing to practice to meet these goals?
