Old School Equestrian is located twenty minutes west of Atlanta in Douglasville GA. Sitting on eight acres is a lovely seven stall barn with full size arena and plenty of turnout. Owner/trainer Nicole Mctaggart lives on property personally caring for each horse as her own.
We offer beginner to advance lessons. We enjoy teaching all aspects of riding and horsemanship with a primary focus on the principles of Hunters, Jumpers, and Equitation.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We start with the basics. Teaching them to groom and tack the horses. Once we start riding we work on balance and steering.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started riding at 18 months old and have shown competitions all my life. Its all I know and love. I have competed nationally and won top rankings over the years.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone you connect with and feel you can trust. Know the horses are proven safe for you to ride. Ask many questions.
