I have been playing piano since the age of eight, and have been teaching piano lessons for the past eleven years. I believe experience is the most important factor in successful teaching. I'm a professional jazz pianist based in Boise, Idaho, with over five years of performance and currently active in the Treasure Valley. I began studying classical piano at age seven before transitioning into jazz as a teenager, and I've continued developing my musicianship ever since. I love teaching students of all ages, starting at 4 yrs. old. I have a degree in piano performance, elementary education, with additional emphasis on classroom music and Suzuki piano. I’ve taught children for over 20 years. It’s my goal to make music fun for kids and help them feel good about their abilities. I provide performance opportunities at local assisted living facilities so our music can bring joy to others.
