About

We offer quality instruction at an affordable price. Most students see quick improvement after just one or two lessons.

I enjoy working with students with a strong desire to improve and a willingness to work at improvement. I love to hear that a student just shot his or her lowest round ever.

    Frequently asked questions

I teach beginners from the green to the tee, learning to put the ball in the hole first and work our way back to approach shots, irons and finally tee shots.  For students who already play we evaluate their playing skill level and then work on the fundamentals of the swing to give them immediate improvement.  I also like to know their reasons for seeking help - knowing that helps to give direction to the process.

I hold a degree in Secondary Education, played four years of college golf, competed for 35 years in tournament golf, and spent 17 years as a college coach.

    $90/hr. for range and/or short game/putting

$135/hr for couples for range and/or short game/putting

    $240 for a 9-hole playing lesson

Taught my own children and then was asked to take over a college team.  Been coaching and instructing ever since.

Beginners to Collegiate level, I am comfortable with all.

I find all the First Tee events to be excellent and the Pepsi Little People's Tournament in Quincy, IL.  For advanced young players all the MAJGT events are excellent.

Find someone who you can communicate with on a one-on-one basis, almost all instructors know the golf swing, finding one who communicates well with you is the most important thing.

What is your short term goal and your long term goal?

Am I looking for a "quick fix" or am I looking for long term improvement.
