What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with ALL TYPES. From beginners trying to break 100 to talented professionals. Many college players, may beginners.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I had one 51 year old gentleman who never played before. he wanted to be a scrtach player. He accomplished his goal as scratch in 4-5 years, and has the fundamentals to last a lifetime.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Get someone who is experienced who knows the fundamentals for every body type. Tall slender people will have a different swing than wider shorter people.Find someone who doesn't teach the 'flavor of the month" that is in the last magazine, or what the last PGA tour star won with the last week. Teach the fundamentals and communicate that to the player in the best way, while still haveing fun.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
how much time they have to devote to golf with family, jobs?
Physical restrictions?
Does the student learn better through seeing, feeling (drills) or hearing repeated instruction?
