We are a physical therapy-based golf health and fitness training program. Unique in the industry as we are able to evaluate injury issues as well as do golf-specific fitness training. We do not teach lessons, but work with many teaching professionals to improve their student's posture, flexibility, balance, and strength so they are able to get more out of their lessons. We make the golf pro's job easier. We have been in the business since 1993 when there really was no golf fitness business; now it is a world-wide industry.
We work with a very motivated clientele because, well, it's all about golf!
Betsy is very smart and very good at what she does. She cares deeply about helping her clients improve the quality of their lives and their performance on the golf course. She is patient, thoughtful and always seems to be searching for the next great therapeutic treatment or fitness technique to enhance my game.
one on one experience, knowledge of trainer/therapist
Betsy at FitGolf Performance Center is the missing link for any golfer trying to improve their golf game or just feel better. As a former long distance runner and very avid golfer, I have worked with Betsy for many years on various injuries and the compensations that have resulted. Betsy knows how the human body works and how it relates to playing better golf. She has helped me with physical therapy and with exercises that have helped me to move better and perform better. I would highly recommend FitGolf Performance Center.
Betsy is a pro. Through her thorough physical evaluation & development of a customized program I have been able to play more effective golf . I cannot say enough good things about this program!!!!
A comprehensive initial evaluation is the key to our and our client's success. Our two-hour evaluation starts with a head to toe orthopedic physical evaluation, a video swing analysis, a BodiTrak balance assessment and a K-vest 3-D swing evaluation. We learn a lot about how your body affects your swing and how your swing might affect your body.
I have a Bachelor's and Master's in physical therapy and was an orthopedic spine specialist at the Chicago Institute of Neurosurgery and Neuroresearch when I began lecturing nationally on the subject of golf health, performance and fitness. I am certified through TPI, the Titleist Performance Institute, as a Level 3 Medical Professional and a Level 2 Junior Coach. I am also certified though the CHEK Institute as a Golf Biomechanic. I gave my first Golf Health and Wellness lecture in 1993 and I am beginning my 20th year with my independent FitGolf business.
We work with Beginners to Tour Players.
