2nd Generation Golf Institute 2GGI, D.A. Hojnacki
About
I use the latest technology along with 36 years of competitive golf experience. I studied under Gary Bower, host of the television show'Golf Tips' for over 20 years, and who started working under Jack Nicklaus at Murifield Village. I'm also an experienced club fitter and builder, and have been building clubs since I was 13 years old. My rates are significantly lower than other coaches in the area. I do this to encourage people to take lessons because they can greatly improve their game, and have more enjoyment. But unfortunately golf is getting more and more expensive. Hopefully I can make it a little easier for people who want to improve their game.
I love get text messages from students telling me how well they played after a lesson. I would do this for free if I didn’t have bills to pay!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I initially evaluate the players equipment to ensure the start with the clubs suited for their ability.
Next, I evaluate the basics like grip, alignment, and posture. I interview the student to find out what their goals are, what shots they need improvement on, and what shots they hit well. After watching the student hit shots, I can implement a training plan tailored for each student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
30+ years of competitive golf experience. I am currently studying with the PGTAA (Professional Golf Teachers Association of America) to obtain my Master Instructor certification.

How did you get started teaching?
I started out volunteering to teach junior golfers while in high school in the early 1990's. Gradually I worked my way up to coaching players of all skill levels from beginners to the elite.
What types of students have you worked with?
Beginner adults and children as young as 6 years old, "average" golfers, single digit, or scratch golfers.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Watching a new student, first time golfer, ask him mom to buy another lesson immediately after his hour had ended because he fell in love with the game after his first lesson.
