About this pro

I am a USDF Bronze and Sliver medalist. I am currently Nichole Smith’s assistant trainer. I am starting to compete for my gold medal, with my horse, Bolero. My current goals are to compete in the Brentina Cup and the U25 Grand Prix.

I love working with horses and people at any level. I have been super passionate about Dressage since I was 8. Helping clients reach their goals is very rewarding! Being able to work with horses everyday is a true gift. I like to set goals with clients/horses so we both have something to strive for as a team.

Alya has been amazing to work with. She’s really helped me take my dressage to a level I didn’t know I could reach. She keeps me relaxed (I tend to get tense) and she’s very positive. I always leave my lessons with an exercise I can work on during the week and she also gives great little tips that I find myself recalling regularly both at home and at shows. She’s also been incredible to work with for my younger horse. Her knowledge of natural horsemanship has helped us to work on his anxiety. She has helped me evaluate all aspects of my program, from how to warm up, to what my horse’s eat, to helping me strengthen my core off my horse, and most of all, helping me with competition nerves. I can’t say enough good things about Alya. Her support and knowledge are priceless.
