Players Elite Golf Academy located at beautiful 45 holes Silver Lakes Golf Club in Orland Park Illinois. We use the most advanced equipment in all our golf training programs such as, Video Analysis, Flightscope launch monitor, SAM PUTT LAB andK-Vest 3D-Bio mechanic body movement, which are essential for junior golfers who are playing competitive golf or preparing to begin playing in junior tournaments such as, IJGA,MAGT,AJGT as well as High School and College Golf.
Our golf lessons, junior golf lessons, golf camps and golf instructions programs are ideal for both advance and beginner golfers starting at age 8. Our junior golf camps is perfect for juniors looking to take their game to the NEXT LEVEL and for those beginners looking to hone their game.
Since its inception in 1998 we have built a well-recognized program by producing tournament winners on the local and state levels with over 75 tournament wins and many of our Player Elites participants have received college scholarships. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Before you can go anywhere you must first have a sound knowledge of where you are today. With respect to playing better golf this means completing a comprehensive game and video assessment of each student that comes to the Academy. Taking the results from the student’s assessment and your interview, you and your Coach will design a detailed personal “Practice With A Purpose Plan.” It will clearly outline the strengths of your game as well as the opportunities for improvement. It will also contain the plan that you and your Coach will implement in order for you to reach your playing goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Players Elite Junior Golf Academy was founded in 1998 by PGA Teaching Professional Michael Camastro. Since 2016 Players Elite Golf Academy over 50 wins on both IJGA (Illinois Junior Golf) and MAJGT junior and More than 60% of our athletes qualified for IHSA State Championship. Michael Camastro is a member of the PGA and hold certifications in K-Vest Kinematic sequence, Sam Puttlab,Swing Catalysis and is currently enrolled in TPI Level 1. Has been a Illinois PGA Teacher Of The Year Nominee 2010,2012,2013,2014,2016.

This depends on the student’s goals with the game of golf. If the student is looking to take their game to the next level, we have well planned yearlong coaching program. We also offer several different lesson/coaching series as well.
How did you get started teaching?
I been involved with the game since the age of 9. By the time, I finished college I played on many mini-tours to chase my dreams as a professional. After 10 years, I decide to help other youths with the game. Spent several years in Florida studying the art of teaching/coaching players from many well-known instructors which hone my teaching and coaching skills I hold today.
What types of students have you worked with?
Mainly we teach and coach juniors from age 8 and up. We also work with adults as well. All skill levels are welcome.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
There are many good golf instructors in Illinois and I’m one of them. Depending on your goals with the game, if your goal is to get started with the fundamentals or to advance your game to the next level choose and instructor who has success with what you’re looking to achieve. Make sure the golf instructor is a member of the PGA not someone who claims they are.
