Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We will schedule an initial conversation (15-20 min) to discuss what you've done previously, your goals and your current routine/environment. It's also a great time to chat more about how my programs are structured and make sure we're a good fit for each other.
Programs are arranged on a monthly basis (versus a session by session basis) to provide more guidance and support (workout routines, help finding the best schedule for consistency, etc) as possible to better guarantee your success.
Additional features include check-in calls 1-2 times per week (depending on your preference), an invitation to an exclusive online community for additional tips, techniques and strategies to improve your health, nutrition and wellness, as well as technical help via email or text on exercise technique or other parts of your training/routine.
From there, we can agree upon what kind of program/structure works best for you and get started as soon as you're ready.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Masters Degree in Kinesiology/Strength & Conditioning
Certified Strength Coach Specialist - certified since 2012 through the National Strength & Conditioning Association
Precision Nutrition Level 1 certified Nutrition Coach

* Invitation to join the exclusive online community to receive tips, strategies and techniques EVERY DAY
How did you get started teaching?
Volunteering as a college student with a high school and community youth sports league is where my coaching and teaching career began. After college, I continued working with youth development programs while also coaching college athletes.
From there, opportunities arose for me to work with national and professional level athletes. Along the way, I have continued to work with athletes of all ages, abilities and experience levels, including non-competitive individuals who are looking to improve their strength and fitness simply for a healthier lifestyle.
What types of students have you worked with?
We have helped athletes as young as 12 years old all the way to adults 65+.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
There are numerous ways to achieve your goals, whether they be weight loss, increased strength or improved conditioning/performance.
Make sure you understand the process that will not only get you there, but allow you to stay healthy longer and perform at your best consistently!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Why do you want to achieve ___________(your goal)?
What is blocking you from achieving it right now?
What are you willing to change in order to see a difference?
