Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to ask an intermediate or advanced golfer what they want to work on to improve their game. For beginners I like to start from the green with putting and then chipping up to the full swing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
PGTCA class A certification
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For adults or children $35 - 45 per hour lesson. Approximately 1 hour.
For groups of 2 or more is $20 each.
How did you get started teaching?
I have always been interested in body mechanics especially in sports. I became an elite highest level tennis professional, and in 2004 I also wanted to teach golf so I took a certification course that taught me how to conduct and teach golf to students.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've work with kids age 8-16 and adults of all ages and levels.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I'm fond of teaching a beginner 8 year old boy. I used my knowledge of teaching tennis and golf to know how to present to this boy the game of golf in a way that he looked forward to coming for the next lesson each week.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Hire a teacher who can explain why he or she is teaching you a specific swing technique or change.
