The Golf Academy @ Persimmon Ridge

The Golf Academy @ Persimmon Ridge is an indoor/outdoor teaching facility. We utilize technology such as Trackman, SAM Putt Lab, and BodiTrak. Colby is a 3 time Kentucky PGA Award winner and since turning professional, has won multiple Sectional PGA events, was medalist in a U.S. Open Local Qualifier, and competed in the 2012 PGA Professional National Championship. He believes that there is no perfect golf swing, only a series of acceptable positions that WILL change from player to player. Most of these positions are based on the students body type, and many swing flaws are caused by poor set-up. Thus, when he works with a student he first determines how their body is programed to work and then work on establishing a set-up that fits that individual. He also believes that a student must learn how to transfer what they practice on the range to the golf course, which can be quite difficult in some cases. Because of this, he enjoys working on the mental side of the game as much as he does the golf swing itself. Colby is the owner of the Louisville Golf Academy. 2020 Player Development Award Recipient, 2016 & 2017 Kentucky PGA Youth Player Development Award Recipient and 2017 Gene Sullivan Award Recipient.

I love helping people reach their goals and enjoy the game of golf. I am always searching for the simplest answer to help my students. Golf is a complitated sport....the more basic we can make it the easier it becomes.
