About

LB Eventing and Dressage offers English riding lessons from beginner through advanced in both dressage and jumping for children and adults. After years of riding Linda is convinced that horses and horsemanship helps people develop responsibility, self confidence, respect, self control, team work and much more. Linda's program gives students the foundation they need to become effective and confident riders all in a safe and fun enviroment.

Linda has been teaching for over 15 years. She completed the Instructor Certification Program through the US Eventing Association. Also she is a Dressage L judge and has her Bronze medal in dressage. She has ridden through Prix St. George in dressage and Preliminary in Eventing. Because she recently moved here from CA you can refer to her web site from CA at www.hilltopstable.com.

I have a great passion for horses and riding and I like to pass my passion to others. Seeing my students progress is so rewarding to me. I believe riding should be fun and try to make my lessons as enjoyable as possible.

Linda is extremely knowledgeable about the sports as well as overall horsemanship. She has had decades of experience and it absolutely shows in each lesson she provides - I am always learning something new while having a lot of fun. Linda knows and networks with folks across all levels of eventing and dressage too. I highly recommend taking lessons with Linda Betts!

I am very appreciative of my trainers patience and encouragement despite the infrequency of my lessons and clear need for more time and slow progress. She has been very accommodating and Informative.

Frequently asked questions

For beginner riders I give them a comprehensive lesson from how to be safe around a horse, grooming, putting the tack on and mounting then learn to stop and start and turn the horse. The next lesson is a review and adding more  ride time. For more advanced riders the first lesson is an evaluation and an opportunity to see my teaching style.

I have completed the US Eventing Instructor Cerfication Program.
