Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to start with finding out more about the students background and any physical limitations the student may have when swinging the golf club.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 10 years of teaching experience and am PGA Certified in both Instruction and Player Development.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard pricing is $50 per half hour and $100 per hour. I do offer group pricing, special on-course pricing and discounts for package deals.
How did you get started teaching?
I went to a golf college where I learned a lot about the mechanics of the swing. Since then, I have advanced my skills by attending several instructional seminars and have furthered my education by completing advanced courses in Instruction & Player Development.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all backgrounds including very begginers to aspiring tour professionals.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
You want to work with an instructor that has experience and someone you can trust.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
You will want to think about your goals. Make sure they're realistic and achievable. A good instructor will help you fine tune your long term goals into short term goals to help you achieve your ultimate goal.
I will also want to know how much time you have to play/practice which will help determine how achievable your goals are.
