CrossFit Lowell
About
We pride ourselves on having the best-educated staff in the region, with over 15 years of coaching experience between us, 100+ hours of gross anatomy dissection to better understand human movement, and a Board Certified manual therapist on-site (she also happens to be the owner of the gym).
We seek excellent technique before applying intensity, because keeping our athletes safe, functional, and injury-free are our first priorities.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We love having folks in for a free trial! That way, you can meet the coaches, hang out with the community, and try on our programming for yourself without any risk or commitment up front.
We'll talk to you when you come in about your goals, questions, as well as any injuries or limitations you might be working with.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a CrossFit trainer for 6+ years, a licensed manual therapist for 4+ years, and currently operate my own soft tissue management clinic on-site. I am Board Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
I have completed 80+ hours of gross anatomy dissection to better understand the human body and how it moves, and hundreds of hours of combined training in Functional Movement Systems, Anatomy Trains, Active Release Techniques, CrossFit Specialty Courses, Fascial Distortion Model, and Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, and strongman.
I am also an Anatomy and Physiology teacher for The Massage School in Boston, MA, and a member of the Advisory Board for STRONG Magazine.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Limited (3 classes per week) monthly memberships start at $129 per person, unlimited monthly memberships start at $159 per person.
What types of students have you worked with?
The youngest athlete I've worked with was 5, the oldest was in her 80s! Our current population's median age is mid-30s.
We've had folks with all different levels of abilities cross our threshold, and pride ourselves on being able to scale the prescribed movements for anyone, regardless of where they are starting or what their physical limitations (injuries, handicaps, etc.) may be.
Our focus is always on technique first, and intensity second. We recognize that people come to us with the only body they'll ever have, and take that responsibility very seriously.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure to check into their training or educational backgrounds! Experience in the sport of CrossFit is outstanding, but does not always make for a great coach. Look for someone with a robust resume in all things related to human movement and performance.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Your goals are your own, it's our job to meet them! We love working with a diverse population, and our community has lots of different motivations for being at our gym. When you're thinking about your goals, it's best to make them SMART - Specific, Measureable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-Bound. That way, we can ensure we're getting you the results that mean the most to you!
