I am MA licenced riding instructor that has a background in English riding, jumping and playing polo. Currently I am mostly riding western and barrel racing.

Freedom Riding works out of Laura Lee Farm is a small barn based in Pocasset on Cape Cod, which promotes inclusivity and is a safe learning space.

I love working with nervous riders to help them conquor their fears and enjoy riding again.

Anna takes the time to genuinely understand you and where you’re coming from in order to better teach you how to ride. There is no cookie-cutter approach with Anna- and you feel loved and taken care of every lesson!! I never feel embarrassed or awkward when I don’t know something or if it takes me a while to get something right, she’s so patient and compassionate. I would (and DO) recommend her to every adult student!

Anna is knowledgeable and competent, encouraging and outgoing. She’s excellent at tailoring her lessons to what you want and what you can do, and her horses are true schoolmasters. Anna is also constantly working on her own range of expertise, from buffering her roots in English and jumping, to exploring new disciplines in the Western world, to training her 3-year-old in basic liberty moves. She’s passionate about her field, and it shows.

Talk to the instructor and go visit the barn. Make sure that the instructor is a good fit for what you want to learn and acomplish. It is no good taking jump lesson if you really want to learn western pleasure.
Decide what your horse goals are and find the instructor to help you reach them.
But remember, most of all it should be FUN.
