What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We start begining riders in half hour private lessons for quality one-on-one time. Once our instructors are comfortable with the students ability to ride on their own, they may transition to an hour semi-private lesson with one or two other riders.
More experienced riders are also encourages to start with an hour private lesson. After an evaluation, they will be scheduled in an hour semi-private lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Tom Davis is a United States Eventing Association certified instructor as well as a Massachusetts Licensed Riding Instructor.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Half hour private lessons and hour semi prvate lessons are $60.
Hour private lessons are $85.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Before choosing a riding instructor, we recommend auditing lessons at several barns as there are so many different teaching styles and atmospheres. Once you have narrowed your choices, schedule a sample lesson from each.
